I have had 2 travel assignments with American Mobile and I have been appaled at the way I was treated by this agency. The first assignment I had 3 recruiters and "service partners" and it was evident that no one in this agency communicates well. I had to fax my license and documents 7 times, yes I said 7,to 5 different people in the company. Finally I said just figure it out, I'm not wasting my time anymore. Then about every other week there was a problem with payroll and my pay was delayed. I contracted an eye infection during my assignment and was supposed to start another assignment, but I lost the vision in one eye and could not start the next assignment within 30 days. American Mobile cancelled my health insurance retroactive to the end of the assignment where I contracted the infection. So I had to pay thousands of dollars in medical bills that should have been covered. This current assignment, I was supposed to work days but was asked by the facility to work evenings. When I asked about evening differential I was told they won't pay it. Also, they supposedly guarantee 40 hours a week, but this is not true. When my unit was shut down for a holiday, I was told that I would not be paid for that shift even though it was a facility call off situation. Long story short, run as fast as you can from this company!

Worked with AMN through another company. Got lied to by AMN about extending my contract. AMN has screwed up my pay so that my company was unable to pay me. When there is a problem, AMN will not listen to your side of the story and they will hang you out to dry.

I know people who work have been with AMN for about one year and AMN still screws up that person's pay. This person knows everyone in the AMN payroll department on a first name basis.

When you sign up with a travel company ask if they are part of AMN, if so run like hell. Also, ask if the facility you are going to is an AMN facility. I understand that AMN is selling HR services to facilities so only thier people get in. Stay away.
